It’s a fact — many of our nation’s largest companies turn to foreign countries to manufacture products for our domestic use. We live and work in a time where business has become international and manufacturing abroad often makes good financial sense. As Americans we know that many items in our home and workplace are provided by U. S. Companies yet made elsewhere. For Jet-Lube it makes better sense for our business to manufacture our products in our own labs right here at home. Jet-Lube America makes all its products in Houston, Texas at our corporate office. Frequently clients come to visit and are amazed at the size of our operation. They don’t expect to see the manufacturing facility less than 50 feet from the President’s office.
This got me thinking about how many other U.S.based companies manufacture products in America. Here are a few that I found:
Personal Products:
• Aegis Bicycles
• Little Tike Toys
• Cabela’s Outdoor Gear (some of their catalog products are made in the USA)
• JRW Fishing Hooks
Industrial Products:
• CTech Pipeline
• Waytech Wire
On the flip side, there have been companies that have started to set-up shop in the United States because it was more financially attractive to them to manufacture here than in their own countries. We may see a more pronounced shift as international companies start to see benefits in setting up shop right here in America.
For Jet-Lube — all our products are made in the USA. And we’re proud of it.
Jet-Lube thread sealants are manufactured to seal and secure metal, plastic and fiberglass piping and fittings by filling the voids and imperfections on the threaded surface and to eliminate back flow through the threads, thus causing a leak pattern.
Jet-Lube thread sealants prevent leakage caused by vibration loosening, solvent evaporation, damaged threads and temperature cycling. All sealants are specially manufactured to meet plumbing codes for use in natural gas applications, fire sprinkler system installations and general purpose applications for threaded plastic pipe.
Two of our top sellers are
TFW™Multipurpose Thread Sealant with PTFE, which is a non-hardening soft set, nontoxic thread sealant for sealing and protecting NPT pipe fittings, specially formulated to seal piping for applications for pressurized air, natural gas, water lines and fire sprinkling systems.
Lubrizol Advanced Materials has tested this product to ensure chemical compatibility with FlowGuard Gold®, Blaze Master® and Corzan® pipe and fittings.
V-2® Multipurpose Thread Sealant is a soft-setting, non-petroleum based thread sealant for use with potable water, liquids, and gases where immediate pressurization is desirable or necessary. This thread sealant is truly multipurpose in that it is a water-resistant, nonstaining, low-odor sealant which includes PTFE and unique natural fillers for tighter joint make-up due to increased thread lubrication.
Are you buying industrial anaerobic products, more commonly known as “threadlockers” from Loctite, Permatex or some other major brand? Did you know that Jet-Lube has been supplying a complete line of threadlockers to our customers for years?
Were you aware that threadlocker technology hasn’t changed and that the technical specifications (MIL) for these products are the same across all major brands, including Jet-Lube’s threadlockers? From medium to permanent strength and all varieties in between, Jet-Lube’s industrial line of threadlockers are more economical than the other brands without the concern of any loss in the product’s functionality.
You’ve heard the old saying, “You get what you pay for.” Well in this case, if you’re not buying Jet-Lube, you’re really paying for the brand name, not the product quality. We know that reputable brands are important to people. However, we also know that giving people a cost-friendly alternative for the same types of products is our way of helping customers find new ways of saving money and, in our case, helping customers save up to 40%!
So the next time you need to supply any type of threadlocker products, think savings, think bottom line…think Jet-Lube.

Farmers use wire rope to lift entire grain silos. Firefighters lash scoops or buckets to helicopters with wire rope to douse forest fires. In major ports, wire rope in rigging is used for both the docking ships and vehicles on the ground to move giant pallets.
All wire ropes contain numerous moving parts that require lubrication. Each time the rope bends or flexes, the internal strands rub together causing friction, heat and wear. Jet-Lube’s wire rope and chain lubricant (WRL™) has a blend of additives that coat, cover and protect the strands from weathering conditions.
The most important aspect of wire rope is how it will function under the stress of each application. In many uses, it supports giant, heavy objects and, if it fails, lives could be in danger. An industrial engineer will determine the correct type of wire rope for various applications. The specific size, weight and braid of rope need to be evaluated by a professional to be sure that the wire rope won’t fray or snap.
You will want to know the breaking strength of your wire rope, for obvious reasons!
WRL is highly resistant to rain and salt water atmospheres and ideally suited for offshore cranes and lashing lines. The formula of rust and corrosion additives make this ideal for lubricating wire rope, forklifts, and any application that needs lubrication without attracting dirt or grime. This wire rope and chain lubricant can also be used for cable pull systems and lines on amusement park rides.

From mountain biking forums to Subaru Impreza Owners Clubs, people have questions about choosing the right anti-seize lubricant.
People want to know the correct anti-seize for everything from titanium bolts to spark plugs. Everyone from auto mechanics to aerospace engineers seems to have weighed in on the subject, so I’ll do my best to clarify things.
It depends on the fastener. With titanium fasteners or bolts, generally found on high-end mountain bikes, a zinc-based anti-seize compound is best, especially in the case of titanium fasteners in aluminum parts because titanium and aluminum can oxidize and seize. The manufacturers’ torque specs, the torque wrench you use and the appropriately sized hex bits are important in the performance of the connection, but choosing the right anti-seize is critical.
None of these things will matter if the wrong kind of anti-seize is used.
The concept of an anti-seize is to get a dissimilar metal between two similar materials in order to keep them from touching each other. Anti-seize is used between two similar metals to prevent bonding together due to heat and/or environmental reasons.
We know that choosing the right anti-seize can be a tricky process. Give us a call at 1-800-538-5823, and tell us about your specific application. We’re here to help!
Whether you’re a Lance Armstrong or a Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jet-Lube can help you select the right product.
